CrossKeys Vineyards

About a 20 minute drive south of Harrisonburg, CrossKeys Vineyards offers a pleasing variety of quality wines. Family owned and operated by the Bakhtiar family, this vineyard is a local favorite and produces wines that define the region’s iconic taste. 

Brix and Columns

Grapes grow best with spectacular views, such is the case at Brix and Columns. The stunning architecture on the property accentuates a 360 degree view of the mountains but the real memorable experience is the wine. White Brix and the Petit Verdot are favorites. 

Bluestone

Located 20 minutes south of Harrisonburg in Bridgewater VA, Bluestone Vineyards capitalizes on the region’s landscape to produce some unforgettable wines. Be sure to pair your favorite wine with some artisan cheeses and a breath-taking view of the mountains. 

The Purple WOLF

White Oak Lavender Farm and the Purple WOLF Vineyard is a must visit location near Harrisonburg. Just 15 minutes from downtown, this farm is producing many unique lavender products and quality wines. Stop by and tour the gardens, taste the wine, and be sure to stop and smell the lavender!

Breweries

Brothers Craft Brewing

Located in a renovated soda bottling plant, this brewery has some great flagships as well as experimental creations, including barrel-aged and sour projects. The Great Outdoors and Hoptimization are a must try!

Friendly Fermenter

This nano-brewery has an incredibly comforting atmosphere and has some of the best beer in town. Located underground along Market Street it is the perfect place to get comfortable and try some awesome brews. 

Restless Moons

The Restless Moons taproom is right on their brewery floor and has an attached patio with outdoor seating. The beer is simply impressive and is considered some of the best around. 

Pale Fire Brewing Co.

Located in the Ice House (a converted ice factory), Pale Fire is a fantastic spot to spend some time and sample some of Harrisonburg’s most recognized beers. Definitely get a flight because they often have a lot of things worth trying. 

Sage Bird Ciderworks

By using locally grown fruit and a careful attention to detail, Sage Bird Ciderworks is making the best cider in the valley. If you haven’t tried cider before, this is the place to try it. If you are a cider snob, this is the place to go to get your socks blown off. 

Cocktail Lounges & Bars

Jack's Hideaway

Harrisonburg’s only speakeasy offers some amazing artisanal cocktails paired with a cozy atmosphere. The door my be tricky to find but it is worth the search! 

Jimmy Madison's

This is the place for whiskey around here. They offer the best selection of bourbon and other whiskeys and can whip up a fantastic cocktail. Not sure what you like? Try a whiskey flight!

Magnolia's

This local taqueria has a wide variety of tequila and mezcal and an impressive cocktail menu. Margarita Mondays at Magnolias is always a treat!

Billy Jack's Shack

This is a great local dive bar with craft beer and delicious burgers. Not much else to say, but it a place we love to recommend and frequent.
